Rhode Island Supports BVL
Denise Fraser,
Rhode Island State BVL Chair
Denise Fraser credits persistence and good help with the success of the BVL program in Rhode Island. Virtually unknown several years ago, Denise and her group have brought BVL into the awareness of the bowlers in their state.
Denise and her helpers go to each of the eight bowling centers in their state to ask for donations for a Support the Troops silicone wristband (available in bulk through BVL for 50 cents per band). She says the response has been tremendous and that people are very happy to contribute. Denise can also be found behind the BVL Table she organizes at every tournament. There, she displays the BVL posters and has information about BVL to distribute. She coordinates a raffle and provides a free wristband to those that purchase 10 raffle tickets. In addition, Denise has encouraged leagues to donate their 50/50 proceeds to the BVL.
Hard work, a little elbow grease and a lot of persistence has paid off for Denise
AND BVL
in her state!
