Sponsor an Afternoon of Fun for Returning Service Men and Women
Your association or bowling center can provide a warm welcome home to the service men and women receiving care at Bethesda Naval Medical Center – their first stop back on US soil. With your help, BVL will host a special bowling party to help boost spirits and provide an opportunity to step away from the hospital setting and have fun!
The California USBC Party
The event includes three games of bowling (with assistance for those patients with adaptive needs), plus a choice of a hotdog/hamburger/ pizza/bar-be-que sandwich and a drink. Patriotic decorations will help create a festive atmosphere.
Plus, all attendees receive a special gift – a lightweight yet durable draw string back pack filled with a BVL T-shirt, a special pack of BVL playing cards and other treats!
Sponsors are recognized by signage in the center, plus a card in each of the backpacks, sending your thanks for their service to our country. The card will detail the name and location of sponsor.
The party may start as an afternoon of fun, but can also provide the spark that introduces attendees to our favorite sport! When they return to their hometowns and adjust back to civilian life, bowling may provide that chance to settle back into their communities.
