| I was in the USAF active duty when Desert Shield changed to Desert Storm. At the age of 21, I was faced with the reality of going to war after nearly completeing my four year commitment (I had only 18 days left before discharge when the news came). The awful feeling I had as I opened my orders that November day in 1990 is what moved me to contribute today. I didn't know about the BVL until I heard Wally Hall speak to his fellow BPAA members about the importance of this cause. I will keep it as the number 1 cause on my contribution list each year. I'm never ashamed to say how much I love my country and how much I respect all veterans. | |
